St. John’s Wood Refurbishment

A substantial semi-detached period residence close to Regent’s Park, the client’s brief was to create a new sub-basement, an opened-up lower ground floor, new summer house and complete house refurbishment.

The lower ground floor features a large open plan living/dining/kitchen space with a new structural glass staircase up to the ground floor, with a glass floor below providing light to the new sub-basement.

The new sub-basement incorporates a wine cellar, private study space, staff accommodation & utility areas.

A new summer house at the end of the garden, designed in a classical style with a collonade to compliment the main house, creates a focal point. The skylit retreat features a fireplace and mixes classical features with contemporary styling.
